The shock film of Spanish cinema is back!

An English couple, Tom and Evelyn, arrive in the seaside resort of Benavis during the summer festivities. Preferring to flee the crowd, they plan to leave the next day for the small island of Almanzora. But when they arrive, they discover a village completely abandoned by its inhabitants. Soon, children with strange behavior appear. What if they had something to do with the disappearance of the adult population?

Echoing Peter Brook's masterpiece His Majesty of the Flies , Les Révoltés de l'an 2000 shows a civilization losing its bearings where the first victims are children. By its subversion and its violence but also by its visual beauty, this second film by Narciso Ibáñez Serrador marked Spanish cinema forever. Unreleased on Blu-ray, Les Révoltés de l'an 2000 is also to be discovered for the first time in its official Anglo-Spanish version.
