A modern and unpublished work by Rainer Werner Fassbinder for the 1st time on Blu-ray and DVD!

As a young worker, Peter spends all his free time building a house for his parents. Since childhood, and despite numerous proofs of love, the boy has suffered from their coldness and mutual incomprehension. In order not to be a burden in their new home, Peter moves to Munich with Erika, the young woman he has just married. The couple discover the pangs and temptations of the big city, and get into irreparable debt...

By filming this quest for tenderness, Rainer Werner Fassbinder ( Le Monde sur le fil ) notes with bitterness that the German economic miracle was achieved at the cost of feelings. Imbued with the great marital melodramas of Douglas Sirk ( Tomorrow is another day ), I only want you to love me is also a study in the everyday origins of madness, built like an emotional puzzle and traversed by disturbing flashbacks. A romantic, moving and unique masterpiece!
