A stunning thriller between Béla Tarr and Tarkovsky

"TWILIGHT RESONATES LIKE A KIND OF NIGHT OF THE 12 BEFORE ITS TIME."
LE NOUVEL OBS

AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME ON BLU-RAY

The body of eight-year-old Anna is discovered deep in a forest. Two detectives are dispatched to the scene to investigate and find the dangerous serial killer who has already struck twice in the region. When their only suspect takes his own life, the investigators decide to pursue a new lead, using a drawing by the latest victim as a starting point...

For his first feature film, Hungarian director György Fehér drew inspiration from Friedrich Dürrenmatt's crime novel *The Promise *, also adapted by Sean Penn in 2001 as * The Pledge *. Like his compatriot Béla Tarr, a consultant on the film, Fehér plays with time, employing dazzling tracking shots and panoramic views, thus making palpable the lead investigator's feverish anticipation and obsessive quest for the truth. Winner of the Bronze Leopard at the 1990 Locarno Film Festival, *Twilight* is a stunning thriller, now available for the first time on Blu-ray™ in its splendid 4K restoration!
