Before the scandalous and mythical works of the 1970s, the 1960s were a period of intense creativity for Pier Paolo Pasolini. In 1961, Accattone signed his birth certificate as a filmmaker, soon followed by Mamma Roma , two works in a style marked by neorealism. His next films would be marked by a singular and poetic aesthetic research: the daring documentary An Investigation into Sexuality , the political farce Birds Small and Big , and the famous trilogy on myths ( The Gospel According to Saint Matthew , Oedipus the King and Medea ), accompanied by fragments of his African Oresteia , which never saw the light of day. Nine films of incomparable richness, including the astonishing short film La Ricotta , brought together for the first time in a 6-piece Blu-ray™ Box Set!
