AVAILABLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A BLU-RAY BOX SET
THE BIRTH OF A FILM LEGEND
Between 1927 and 1932, Alfred Hitchcock directed ten feature films at Elstree Studios for British International Pictures. These pivotal years marked his introduction to talking pictures in 1929, following a series of works celebrating the golden age of silent film, during which the director, drawing on a multitude of influences, honed his art of visual storytelling. Hitchcock's inventive and expressionistic use of sound allowed him to expand the realm of possibilities: the medium of cinema became an inexhaustible playground for him. Collected for the first time in a 7-disc Blu-ray™ set, these ten films bear witness to an artist in full development, before his transformation through the American film production system.
