The second feature film by Phil Tippett, a grand master of special effects and stop-motion who worked on the Star Wars saga and Starship Troopers , Mad God is a breathtaking cinematic experience that pushes the boundaries of imagination and frees itself from any notion of narrative. Started in the late 1980s and completed three decades later, this post-apocalyptic journey paints a hollow portrait of its creator, his personality, his universe and his inimitable style. A wonderful tribute to stop-motion animation.
