A great epic inspired by the tumultuous life of the Japanese samurai and philosopher Musashi Miyamoto and comprising the films The Legend of Musashi (1954; Oscar® for best foreign film), Duel à Ichijoji (1955) and La Voie de la lumière (1956 ), Musashi remains one of the flagships of adventure cinema from the major Japanese studios.
