Divided into three parts, Youth ( Spring , Torments , and Return to the Homeland ) tackles crucial issues of the contemporary world: social tensions, inequalities, corruption, and power dynamics within the workplace, in order to raise, through these themes, questions such as intimacy, family, aging, and the passing down of traditions.

Zhili, 150 km from Shanghai. In this city dedicated to textile manufacturing, young people flock from all the rural areas crossed by the Yangtze River. Among them, friendships and romantic relationships are formed and dissolved according to the seasons, bankruptcies, and family pressures.
BLU-RAY 2: YOUTH (THE TORMENTS) (2024 – Color – 226 min)
Individual and collective stories unfold in the textile workshops of Zhili, growing more serious with each passing season. From a walkway, a group of workers watches their indebted boss beat a supplier. In another workshop, the boss has vanished.
BLU-RAY 3: YOUTH (RETURN TO THE HOMELAND ) (2024 – Color – 152 min)
The New Year is approaching, and the textile workshops of Zhili are almost deserted. The few workers who remain struggle to get paid before leaving. From the banks of the Yangtze to the mountains of Yunnan, everyone is returning to their hometowns to celebrate the New Year.
