THE WORLD

On the fringes of Bollywood, Bengali filmmaker Satyajit Ray introduced the world to Indian auteur cinema with his first film, The Lament of the Path in 1955. With The Unconquered in 1956 and then The World of Apu in 1959, he created a chronicle of the profound beauty of Apu's life, from his childhood in a poor family in rural Bengal to adulthood in Calcutta, to the rhythm of the unforgettable music of Ravi Shankar. Bedside films of Wes Anderson, the Apu Trilogy is available for the first time in France in a 3 Blu-ray™ Box Set in its sublime 4K restoration!
