THE ANTOINE DOINEL SAGA FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SINGLE BLU-RAY EDITIONS!
"FRANÇOIS TRUFFAUT TAUGHT ME MY JOB AS AN ACTOR AND ABOVE ALL HE TAUGHT ME THE ESSENTIAL THING: THE LOVE OF CINEMA." JEAN-PIERRE LÉAUD
Antoine Doinel is fourteen years old. In class, he keeps getting into trouble with his schoolteacher, who punishes him for writing on the classroom walls. At home, his parents are indifferent to him, and don't know what to do with him during the holidays. Not having done his punishment, Antoine plays hooky with his friend René and surprises his mother in the arms of her lover. Young Antoine's life promises to be one of lies and getting by.
"I was incredibly lucky to come across this kid. He was the character. Better still: he improved the film. I saw Antoine as more fragile, more fierce, less aggressive, Jean-Pierre gave him his health, his aggressiveness, his courage. He was a valuable collaborator. He spontaneously found the true gestures, corrected the text, always accurately, and he used the words he wanted to use." - François Truffaut
