Financed by André Citroën, the expedition of the Mission Citroën Center-Asia, the Yellow Cruise, must link Beirut to Beijing in half-track vehicles. A first group led by Georges-Marie Haardt left Lebanon on April 4, 1931 to find a second group halfway from Beijing led by Victor Point. Forty men, including scientists and doctors, will travel thirty thousand kilometers across the Middle and Far East, braving bad weather, mechanical failures and political conflicts...
