In a small port in Brittany, the newly promoted commissioner Lesage suspects René, a painter and art teacher, of the rape and murder of one of his students, a ten-year-old girl. His wife Viviane supports him but is not insensitive to the court that a media writer pays him. However, doubt creeps into Viviane's mind… What truth will emerge from each other's lies?
