REBECCA
THE HOUSE OF DOCTOR EDWARDES
THE CHAINED
THE PARADINE TRIAL
"Hitchcock is a man who thought of the cinema and who thinks only of that." Francois Truffaut
The year 1939 corresponds to a turning point in the career of Alfred Hitchcock. The year of his departure for the United States, it is also the year that marks the beginning of a nearly ten-year collaboration with the famous American producer David O. Selznick ( Gone with the Wind , Duel in the Sun ). This association between the master of suspense and one of the most important representatives of the Hollywood system gave birth to four masterpieces: the Gothic romance Rebecca (1940), the psychoanalytic thriller The House of Doctor Edwardes (1945), the film spy film Les Enchaînés (1946) and the legal thriller Le Procès Paradine (1947). Brought together for the first time in a 5 DVD Ultra Collector Box, these four feature films are among the treasures of Hollywood cinema from the 1940s, to be admired in their sublime restored version!
